Don’t miss the last four events in the lecture series, "The Caribbean: Migration and Race."
On Wednesday, October 19th at 7:00 p.m. in Park Hall Auditorium, the film “Krik? Krak! Tales of a Nightmare” will be shown and followed by a panel discussion.
On Wednesday, October 26th, at 7:00 p.m. in Klingenstein Lounge, Professor Viranjini Munasinghe of Cornell University will speak on “Theorizing World Culture through the Caribbean: East Indians and Creolization.”
On Thursday, October 27th at 7:00 p.m. in Clark Lounge, Professor. Elaine Savory of New School University will speak on “Tidalectics: A Model for the Interrelation of the U.S. and the Anglophone Caribbean in Literature.”
Finally, on November 10th at 7:00 p.m., Ruben Silié Valdez, secretary general of the Association of Caribbean States, will conclude our series with a discussion of “Migration in the Caribbean: Comparing the Experience of the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Trinidad.”
