Michael Malpass, Anthropology, and five anthropology majors, participated in the 24th annual Northeast Conference of Andean Archaeology and Ethnohistory, held at American University on Oct. 28-30.

MIchael Malpass, Professor of Anthropology, and anthropology majors Andrew Adelman, Garrett Boyd, Angela Curry, Jodi Klue and Shamus McCullough, all participated in the 24th annual Northeast Conference of Andean Archaeology and Ethnohistory, held at American University on Oct. 28-30. Special presentations on Andean topics were presented at the Textile Museum and Society of Women Geographers in DC, as well as the papers at the conference. Paper topics ranged from early adaptations to coastal environments to modern chicha (corn beer) brewing techniques. Informal discussions with leaders in the field and invited Peruvian archaeologists followed each day's presentations.
