Barney Beins (Psychology) participates in two symposia at APA ConventionContributed by Judy Smith on 11/10/05 Barney Beins participated in two symposia at the 2005 convention of the American Psychological Association in Washington, DC this past August.
The second symposium focused on the history of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology (Division 2 of the American Psychological Association). The symposium was entitled From Division to Society–Historical Analysis of STP’s Evolution. His presentation was “STP: Roots in the Past, a View of the Future.” The co-presenters were colleagues from Furman University, James Madison University, and Georgia Southern University. As part of his responsibility as past president of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology, he also chaired the session for the current presidential address. |
