Johnny Anzalone, an accomplished dancer/choreographer from NYC, is coming to IC Dec 4th to hold a master class in the Hill Center Dance Studio. His style ranges from classical jazz to modern to hip hop to broadway. The master class will include a short warm-up followed by a routine choreographed by Mr. Anzalone. Tickets will be sold Friday, December 2nd in Textro Hall.

Johnny Anzalone has taught jazz, theatre dance and modern dance in numerous dance schools and universities across the country. In New York City he has been a guest teacher for Lee Theodore’s The American Dancemachine, STEPS on Broadway and The American Theatre Dance Workshop. He acted as associate choreographer for the hit Broadway show, Jekyll and Hyde, which was nominated for an Outer Circle Critic’s award for best choreography in 1997.

His performance credits include the Broadway company of Cats, the national tour of La Cage Aux Folles, the international company of West Side Story, the Broadway workshops of Legs Diamond and Fosse, the American Dancemachine and the Laura Dean Dancers and Musicians. He has completed his Master’s Degree in Performance at NYU’s Gallatin School and is currently teaching dance on faculty with NYU’s Music Performance Department.

The class will be held Sunday December 4th 2:00-3:00 in the Hill Center Dance Studio and is $10 per person. There is limited space available, so if you are interested, email ldrader1@ithaca.edu or stop by our table in Textor Hall Friday Dec. 2nd.
