In continued response to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Ithaca College's Community Service Committee and the local American Red Cross Chapter are working together to offer the Disaster Response Course training here on campus in the beginning of January for staff and faculty. This specialized training is for those that would like to volunteer during the rebuilding efforts that continue after Hurricane Katrina and also for any future response to a disaster in this community and elsewhere.

All staff and faculty are invited to participate in the American Red Cross Disaster Response Course that is being offered free here on campus in early January. The extensive course is broken down into four sections that each person needs to complete. The dates, times and training descriptions are as follows:

Thursday January 5th 8:30 am - 12:00 pm - Community Services Overview
Monday January 9th 8:30 am - 12:00 pm - Shelter Operations
Wednesday January 11th 8:30 am - 4:30 pm - Family Services
