IC Web Server Hardware Upgrade Planned for January 11th

The Ithaca College Web server (WWW) is being upgraded with new hardware on Wednesday, January 11, 2006.

Beginning at 8:00 a.m. on 1/11 people will not be able to modify any Web pages on the WWW server, though Web pages will still be viewable as normal.

From approximately 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on 1/11, ALL WWW services will be disabled. Anyone who tries to access IC Web pages during this time will see an "IC Web server unavailable" Web page.

So after 8 AM on 1/11, we lose the ability to edit our webpages. Is this
a permanent ban, or do we get those abilities back eventually?
