The Red Cross Club at Ithaca College and Staff Council are holding another blood drive on Wednesday, February 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Emerson Suites. You can sign up by e-mailing redcross@ithaca.edu or stopping by the sign-up table Wednesday, January 25 in the North Foyer or the lobby Thursday, January 26 through Monday, January 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thanks for your support in helping our community.
THERE’S NOT A SINGLE GOOD REASON TO DONATE BLOOD -- there’s actually THREE good reasons to donate blood. That’s how many people benefit every single time you give the “Gift of Life." Your blood’s components (red cells, platelets, and plasma) can be separated out to help save hospital patients with a wide range of needs -- burn victims, cancer and leukemia patients, trauma cases -- the list is long. So please make an appointment at our blood drive on Wednesday, February 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Emerson Suites by e-mailing redcross@ithaca.edu.
You are Eligible to Donate If You Meet the Following Criteria:
• Are at least 17 years old
• Weight at least 110 pounds
• Your last donation was on or before December 8
• Have not traveled abroad since 1980 for more then 3 cumulative
months in Great Britain or 6 months cumulative in Europe.
Tips for a Successful Donation:
To improve your donation experience be sure to eat well the day of donation, drink plenty of fluids, and get a good night's sleep!
