Last fall, four Park Students met with The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) co-founder Morris Dees, attended an SPLC workshop, and witnessed the Wall of Tolerance unveiling in historic Montgomery, Alabama with the late J. Diann Sams. Those four students were: Alyson Buck '06, OCLD; Lonna Dawson '07, OCLD; Christopher DeAngelis ’06, IMC; and Ashley Fazio '05, OCLD.

The SPLC was founded in 1971 as a small civil rights law firm. Today, the Center is internationally known for its tolerance education programs and its legal victories against hate groups.
