The third workshop in our series on academic advising will be a discussion led by Kathy Lucas, academic counselor and exploratory program director in the School of Humanities and Sciences.

The workshop will focus on approaches to advising from the prescriptive to the learning paradigm. Topics include: consideration of student learning as the organizing concept in academic advising; content or skills that students should learn through advising interactions; and the academic advising syllabus.
