The value of a master in business administration degree over the course of one's professional career has been estimated to be the equivalent of a tax-free gift of $500,000, and it is not just for undergraduate business degree holders. The School of Business is once again preparing to offer a series of graduate-level, pre-M.B.A. summer workshops beginning in May 2006.
So, even if your undergraduate degree is in a non-business field, you could be enrolled in IC's 10-month M.B.A. program as early as fall 2006, and graduate in June, 2007. The M.B.A. program is fully accredited by AACSB, the world's highest standard in business school accreditation.
Beginning in May 2006, the School of Business will offer five pre-M.B.A. workshops designed specifically for individuals with non-business degrees. Anyone holding a bachelor's degree in any discipline and carrying a GPA of 2.5 or higher is eligible for enrollment. Workshops are scheduled to run consecutively for a total of twelve weeks, and you may choose to take one, some, or all. Successful completion of all workshops satisfies the prerequisites for admission into IC's 10-month M.B.A. program (other admission requirements still apply). Registration begins mid-April. The pre-M.B.A. workshops and they are scheduled in the evenings to accommodate work schedules (Monday through Thursday). IC employees can enroll and apply tuition benefits for two workshops per summer; GMAT's are not required for enrollment in these workshops.
