Ithaca College

The Office of Multicultural Affairs invites Ithaca College community members to nominate an Ithaca College ALANA (African-American, Latino/a, Asian, or Native American) student to be considered for the 2006–2007 Rashad G. Richardson “I Can Achieve” Memorial Scholarship.

This merit scholarship is intended to recognize a high-achieving student representing the African-American, Latino/a, Asian, or Native American community (ALANA). The student receiving this scholarship will have made significant contributions toward improving the quality of life for ALANA youth in the Tompkins County community. In the event that the recipient of this award is receiving need-based loans, the award will be utilized to reduce the burden of debt.

Scholarship Criteria

Students nominated for this scholarship should

• be ALANA students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year;
• be in good academic and judicial standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better;
• demonstrate a record of community service with city or county youth programs.

Nominations are due in OMA Monday, February 20, 2005.
