Scholarship Opportunity for Students Planning to Study AbroadContributed by Rachel Gould on 03/22/06 The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program offers grants for U.S. citizen undergraduate students of limited financial means to pursue academic studies abroad. Awards of up to $5,000 are made, but award amounts will vary depending on the length of study and student need with the average award being $4,000. Students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding at two- or four-year undergraduate colleges or universities are eligible to apply. The application deadline for Fall 2006 or Academic Year 2006-07 is April 4. |
