Brockport, N.Y. -- The gymnastics team placed second of eight schools at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA). Ithaca's score of 183.8 put the Bombers 2.45 points behind Wisconsin-La Crosse, which won its sixth straight team title. Junior Kelly Stevison earned all-America honors in the all-around, placing seventh with a score of 36.9, and the vault, placing third with a final score of 19.3.

The runner-up finish is the second in three years for Ithaca and the program's fourth overall (1987, 1997, 2004, 2006). Ithaca won the 1998 NCGA title.

Stevison's all-America honors are the fifth and sixth of her career; only one Bomber gymnast has earned more. She has earned all-America honors in the all-around competition in each of her three years at Ithaca and also earned all-America honors in the vault and floor exercise as a freshman. She is the program's first three-time all-American in the all-around. Her score of 9.750 in the vault final ties teammate Crescent Danziger for the highest vault score in Ithaca history.

Senior Krystal Kaminski and sophomore Jessica Oddo each earned all-America in the floor exercise. Kaminski was the runner-up with a score of 19.350 to earn her second all-America honor in the event, while Oddo's score of 19.225 was good for sixth overall. Freshman Francis Ente tied for second on the uneven bars with a score of 18.975 to earn her first career all-America honor.

Sophomore Valerie Ierley finished ninth on the beam (18.550) and was 13th in the floor exercise (18.950), while junior Chelsie Veilleux placed 10th on the uneven bars (18.475) and Stevison tied for 10th in the floor exercise (19.025).

Kaminski and senior Jessica Rosenberg were named to the all-academic team.
