The annual James J. Whalen Academic Symposium will be held on Monday, April 3, 2006, in the Ithaca College Campus Center (Emerson Suites, Clark Lounge, Klingenstein Lounge, and North Meeting Room), beginning at 9:00 a.m., and continuing throughout the day.
Over 200 students will be making platform and poster presentations as well as exhibiting their art, performing original music, and reading a variety of written works. The Symposium is a highlight of the academic year and brings to the fore some of the best work that students do at Ithaca College. Presentations from all five schools of the College and the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies will comprise the program. Featured will be special sessions on sustainability, work done by the Park and Martin Luther King Scholars, and a keynote session on the College’s Antigua Program. The full program may be seen at www.ithaca.edu/whalensymposium.
A reception for the student presenters and faculty sponsors in recognition of their work will be held in the Clark Lounge at 5:00 p.m.
