Professor of Politics Asma Barlas gave a talk at Columbia University on
Sacred Knowledge and Women's Rights in Islam on March 29th, as part
of the events organized in connection with Women's History Month.

On April 6th, she gave a lecture at Middlebury, Vermont, on Women,
Politics, and Islam: Rereading Islamic Sources. While there
was also invited to lead a discussion with students on her book,
"Believing Women" in Islam, which they were reading for one of
their classes.
