Ithaca College film professor Cathy Crane will screen her film "Unoccupied Zone" on Tuesday, April 18, at 8:15 p.m. in the Park Auditorium.

The film, a meditation on Simone Weil -- philosopher, trade-unionist, mystic -- who was forced to leave Paris for Southern France (the "unoccupied zone") following the 1940 German occupation of Paris. The piece was shot is Paris, Marseille and on the Dillingham Stage at Ithaca College, with an original score by Beth Custer.

The film was made possible by a James B. Pendleton Grant from the Roy H. Park School of Communications as well as grants from the Provost's Office.
