Amnesty International will be sponsoring three fabulous programs on campus each Thursday for the remainder of the month. They include a presentation by a former woman sold into slavery, a presentation by one of the most renowned scholars on sexual trafficking and tourism, and a film showing on child soldiers.

Beatrice Fernando is speaking on Thursday, April 13, at 7:00 p.m. in Williams
323. She was a modern day slave, trafficked from Sri Lanka to Lebanon.

Kamala Kempadoo is speaking on Thursday, April 20, at 7:00 p.m. in Williams
225. She doesn't have a site, but you can just do a Google search and get
a bit of info. A search of Amazon will also bring up all the books she's
written. She will be speaking about sex trafficking and modern day slavery.
