Glacier Mountaineering Course offered during Summer Session 2006.
TRLS 27800 Galcier Mountaineering. This couse is a collaboration between Ithaca College Department of Therapeutic Recreation and Leisure Services and Alpine Ascents Inernational. Choose from the following sessions: May 21-June 2; July 2-14; July 23-August 4.
This is a 13-day mountaineering course led by professional expedition leaders in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State. The course includes climbing instruction in all aspects of snow, ice, and alpine rock climbing with ascents of technical alpine rock peaks. Become an educated self-reliant cilmber with the ability to evaluate hazards. The course is designed for beginning and intermediate climbers who are in excellent condition. Two (2) credits. NLA. Grade is pass/fail.
In addition to tuition, the course fee is $1000. The student is responsible for transportation arrangements. Alpine Ascents Inernational will provide information necessary for preparation for the course and gear rental as necessary.
