As part of IC's Earth Week celebration the students from Michael Smith's History of American Environmental Thought class will be presenting their research into local environmental history at the History Center from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19.

Among the topics the students have been exploring: the impact of the 1918-19 flu pandemic on Ithaca, the development of the Milliken Point coal power plant, and the environmental history of Cascadilla Creek. Refreshments will be provided. The History Center in Tompkins County is located at 401 E. State St. in the Gateway Building, one block east of the Commons.
