Athletic Trainer - The Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing first aid and related treatment for minor sports injuries during the operation of several sports camps. They will work with school-age children in an athletics setting under the guidance of various Camp Directors and the Assistant Director for Special Programs of Conference and Event Services. Trainers will work with and provide referrals to the Health Director, the Health Center, and Public Safety. Applicants must be at least of junior standing in an accredited athletic training program and must have served as a student trainer of an athletic team. BLS/CPR and advanced first aid is required. Athletic Trainers are paid $8.75 per hour for up to 40 hours per week. On campus housing and meals are available. The position start and end dates are to be determined (probably June 26-30, 2006, July 3-7, and July 24-28, 2006).
Recreation Camp Counselor - Counselors are needed for the Ithaca College Recreational Day Camp, August 7 through August 18, 2006. Training will be held August 3-4, 2006. Under the direction of the Camp Director, Counselors will plan and supervise recreational activities for children aged 6-11. Counselors will ensure the safety and well-being of campers; accompany campers to swimming and other activities. Counselors will respond to discipline concerns under strict guidelines. Experience working with children and CPR certification is desired. Compensation is $8.00 per hour for new Counselors and $8.75 per hour for returning Counselors or new Counselors with significant, reliable experience for up to 40 hours per week. On-campus housing and meals may be available (if living on campus in the fall).
Summer Program Assistant - The Summer Program Assistant is responsible for assisting with the processing of all registration forms and payments for summer special programs and camps. This person is also responsible for processing all aspect of processing summer meal plans. They will provide support to the office by assisting in various independent projects and in all aspects of office daily operations. Applicants have limited opportunity to attend summer classes and hold other jobs on or off campus. Knowledge of excel and filemaker is preferred. The Summer Program Assistant is paid $8.75 per hour for 37.5 hours per week. On campus housing and meals are available. The position will start on Monday, May 9, 2005. The position end date to be determined.
