Ithaca College

Scott Werneke ('07) is this year's winner of the Outstanding Presentation Award for his presentation entitled, “Metal interactions with slug glue proteins”, at the Eastern College Science Conference. He conducted his research in Andy Smith's lab.

Hugo Valencia ('07) is this year's recipient of the Jason Dickens Memorial Award. This award is given in honor of Jason Dickens, who was an Ithaca College Biology major. Jason hoped to attend medical school and to use his talents to serve society as a physician. Tragically he was the victim of a boating accident in the summer of 1998. Hugo is planning on attending medical school upon graduation. His stipend will be used for textbooks or other academic needs.
