Simon Tarr (Cinema and Photo) will become the first professor of New Media Design at the University of South Carolina.

Beginning in the fall, I will have the rare opportunity to work to build a new program at USC's main campus in Columbia, SC. As excited as I and my family are to set off to a new place, I'm fortunate to be leaving with great affection and respect for this place. Ithaca will always be in my heart.

It has been an honor to work with you all. Thankfully our world is as small as it is, for I'm sure our paths will cross again and again.
