Joshua Wolf Shenk, writer, teacher, and historian, is the author of Lincoln's Melancholy: How Depression Challenged a President and Fueled His Greatness.

Shenk will provide insight into how Lincoln coped with his illness, as well as how it affected his political work. The author will share his personal experience in writing this work and relate Lincoln's story to present-day issues.
