I am pleased to announce the appointment of David Garcia to the position of Associate Provost, effective June 1, 2006.
David has been the associate dean of the School of Humanities and Sciences since June 2003, and served as acting director of first year programs and orientation during the Summer of 2005. David comes to us with considerable knowledge of Ithaca College and direct experience with current programs and initiatives in the Division of Academic Affairs. Prior to coming to Ithaca College, David was at New York University where he served as director of instruction and curriculum development for their General Studies program. He also served as assistant director of instructional resources and faculty development at New York University.
