There are two important changes for the 2006 First-Year Reading Initiative that you should place on your calendars:
The date for the FACILITATOR PREP SESSION has been changed to
TUESDAY, AUGUST 22, 2006
10:00 A.M. – NOON in TEXTOR 102
The time for the STUDENT DISCUSSION SESSIONS has been changed to
TUESDAY, AUGUST 29, 2006
11:15 A.M. – 12:45 P.M.
If you have not already signed up to be a facilitator for this year’s initiative and would like to do so, please contact Rosalie Fitzgerald at fitzgera@ithaca.edu or 274-3063 and she will arrange for you to have a copy of this year’s selection, The Life of Pi by Yann Martel.
In addition, please reserve Tuesday, September 5, at 7:00 p.m. in the Emerson Suites for our First-Year Speaker, Dr. Azar Nafisi. Dr. Nafisi will speak on the transformative power of the literary imagination.
