Ithaca College Office of Public Safety reminds the campus community the “Click-it or Ticket” program continues on and off campus at all times.

Seat Belts Save Lives.

The Office of Public Safety reminds the campus community that the “Click-it or Ticket” aggressive enforcement program began Monday, May 22 and continues through Saturday, June 4, 2006. This nation-wide program exists on and off campus and saves lives by the enforcement of safety belt violations.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 31,693 passenger vehicle occupants died in traffic crashes during 2004 – 55 percent (17,431) of those killed were NOT wearing their safety belts at the time of the crash.

The Ithaca College Office of Public Safety reminds you that, with summer time and holiday travel here, many of you will be traveling our nation’s highways and it’s our goal to make travel as safe as possible.
