Grants.gov: From this year on, all federal proposals will begin to use the common federal portal, grants.gov.

NSF hopes to retain its user-friendly FastLane for a while, but other agencies will adopt grants.gov and NSF will do so eventually. The submission process is more cumbersome and will require that proposals be routed five business days before submission, and that all elements of the proposal be in final form for submission by the Office of Academic Funding at least two days before the submission deadline.

A “technical workshop” on these and related matters is planned in early Fall; please plan to attend.
