McAfee VirusScan Upgrade for PC Computers

To ensure that College-owned computers are kept as clean and safe as possible from viruses and spyware, ITS is deploying the latest version of McAfee VirusScan with an anti-spyware module.

The installation will happen automatically starting June 19th; you don't need to do anything. Once the installation is complete, if you have spyware on your computer, you may receive a VirusScan message stating that spyware has been found and whether or not it could be cleaned.

If you receive a message stating the virus or spyware could not be cleaned or removed, please contact the Helpdesk at helpdesk@ithaca.edu or 4-3282.
