Surplus Vehicle Bid Sale

The Purchasing Department is offering for sale the following vehicles recently released from our fleet on a sealed-bid basis.

Vehicles may be inspected Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Physical Plant parking lot. See Morgan Swanhart at the Fleet Garage if you have any questions. Complete service records are available at the Purchasing Department, 1414 West Tower. These vehicles will be sold in as-is, where-is condition without guarantee and without any expressed or implied warranty.

Vehicle#18 1994 Chevrolet G30 15-passenger van, 124,316 miles, blue/blue, 5.7 liter V8 engine, AT, AM/FM/cassette/clock, power door and window locks, body/interior in poor condition, engine and tires in good condition. Some seats have been removed but are available to reinstall.

All bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope. Bids must include vehicle #, bid amount, bidder’s name, address, daytime telephone, date, and signature and should be submitted to: Gail Wagner, Ithaca College Purchasing Department, 1414 West Tower, Ithaca, NY 14850 by 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2006.

Ithaca College reserves the right to reject any/or all bids. All bidders will be notified by the Purchasing Department as soon as possible after the bid closure date.

The successful bidder is responsible for payment to the Ithaca College Purchasing Department by check made payable to Ithaca College (no cash, please) prior to picking up the vehicle. The vehicle must be removed from the college premises within one week after notification and purchase. No NYS sales tax will be added to the sale price; sales tax must be paid to NYS Department of Motor Vehicles if registering the vehicle. A bill of sale, NYS Affidavit of Sale, title, keys, and service records will be given to the successful buyer after payment at the Purchasing Department.

Sweet, I drove van #18 one weekend this winter. I hope it goes to a good home.

I rode shotgun in that van during most of that weekend. It's a good van.
