Summer is well under way. During this time of year it’s so easy to put personal health and fitness goals on hold. What, with picnics, weddings, pool parties, family reunions, and the accompanying scrumptious food and beverage choices, who wants to worry about the inevitable side effect, weight gain?
Mark your calendars now and reserve the noon hour on Tuesdays for Weight Watchers At Work, beginning sometime in September.
Postponed from the spring, the IC campus community will have another opportunity to take advantage of the convenience of participating in this successful program right here on campus. Faculty and staff who draw a regular paycheck will be able to use the recently approved payroll deduction plan as a payment option.
Registration details will follow next month, so keep your eyes and ears open. In the meantime, go to http://www.weightwatchers.com/plan/turnaround/index.aspx to learn more about Weight Watchers’ plan. Use portion control (You don’t need a huge piece of that chocolate layer cake, do you?) and physical activity, which can be as simple as a 30-minute walk three or four times a week, to keep any potential weight gain in check.
Join us for Weight Watchers at Work this fall. You'll be glad you did!
