In compliance with section 504, class materials must be made available in alternate format.

Alternate formats include audio versions of written documents, documents in braille, enlarged print and documents in electronic format. If a student in your class has identified him/herself to the college and has a substantial need for materials in alternate format, you will be notified by Academic Support Services via the student's academic adjustment plan. At that time, an ACSSD staff person will meet with you to discuss lead time and how to prepare documents (e.g. class handouts, powerpoint presentations, tests, etc.) for conversion into alternate formats. Also, many text books are available on tape or CD; however, texts published by the smaller publishing companies must be scanned and converted. Therefore, it is a great help if faculty members compile their reading lists as early as possible.

This is great. Except, you know, the campus is still one of the most
unaccessible campuses I've ever seen. Way to go Ithaca! You keep those
handicap folks away!

How about making alternate forms of textbooks available for those who can't afford the exorbitant prices?
