The Ithaca College Gerontology Institute is pleased to announce its annual fall conference scheduled for September 21, 2006 at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Ithaca.
This year’s conference is titled "LIVABLE COMMUNITIES and AGING: General Principles and Practical Applications."
As we face a dramatic aging of the population we need to prepare ourselves and our communities. Preparation will require the cooperation and collaboration of planners, architects, public officials, developers, community groups, health and social service providers, older adults and their advocates, and educational institutions.
Ithaca College students/faculty/staff may attend the conference free of charge, but must be registered in advance. There is a fee for lunch. Please use the special registration form for IC students/faculty/staff available at the Gerontology Institute, 407 CHS. For more information call 607-274-1967 or email aging@ithaca.edu .
