Peter Mandaville will inaugurate the Global Fury/ Global Fear: Engaging Muslims discussion series.

Dr. Peter Mandaville, associate professor at George Mason University, will talk about "Critical Islam and Muslim Experiences in the West: Comparative Reflections on the UK and USA" on Tuesday, September 19, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. in Emerson Suites (C). The IC faculty respondent will be Patty Zimmermann, professor of cinema and photography in the Park School. President Peggy Williams will offer some introductory comments.

Dr. Mandaville’s talk will inaugurate the year-long discussion series "Global Fury/Global Fear: Engaging Muslims" being hosted by the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies.
