Noted feminist historian, Margot Badran (Georgetown University) will give the second talk in the Global Fury/Global Fear: Engaging Muslims Discussion Series on Monday, October 23, 2006, in Klingenstein Lounge at 7:00 p.m. She will speak about “Feminism Beyond East and West: New Gender Talk and Practice in Global Islam."

Asma Barlas, professor of Politics and Director of CSCRE will be the faculty respondent and Provost Peter Bardaglio will offer the introductory comments. The discussion series is being hosted by the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies. Light refreshments will be served!
