The United Way campaign is off to a terrific start with pledges totaling 35 percent of our $62,000 goal.
Remember the easiest way to make a pledge is through payroll deduction. There is no minimum to payroll deduction. In fact, you can pledge $1, $10, $25 or more per pay period and impact our local community in some of the following ways:
• A $26 donation can provide two round trips from a rural home to the pediatrician’s office for a child.
• A $50 donation will provide ten days of Meals on Wheels for one person, or purchase diapers for a newborn for five weeks.
• A $78 donation will provide a night of shelter to a homeless person with food, personal hygiene products, linens, and case management.
