Barney Beins made two presentations in symposia at the recent convention of the American Psychological Association in New Orleans.

One presentation, Psychological Concepts: Richness Through the Liberal Arts, focused on the importance of incorporating into one’s courses information from diverse disciplines, including history, poetry, sociology, and medicine.

The second presentation, What's in a Question?: Pitfalls in Survey Wording dealt with teaching students about the difficulties of developing questionnaires with items that lead to valid responses.
