Residents of the East and West Towers:
The IC Residence Hall Association has officially challenged you to compete against each other in a HALL WAR. The victor of this war will be determined by which tower uses the least amount of electricity in a two week span. The war will begin at noon on Friday, November 3rd, and will end promptly at noon on Friday, November 17th.
A measurement of each tower’s electrical meter will be taken and recorded at the start the war. At the half-way point, Friday the 10th at noon, another measurement will be taken, and then given to your RA to post on your floor. This will be the marker of your progress through your competition against one another.
There are several flyers about, titled “Save the Green”, which will help you in your battle. They contain simple techniques that will bring you closer to victory against the opposing tower, and closer to free food, West or East Tower dominance, and the coveted Power Cup. To claim the Power Cup as your own is a symbol of strength, unity and conscious conservation.
The tower that has consumed the least amount of electricity will be announced on Wednesday, the 22nd of November. The awarding of the cup will be held shortly thereafter.
Remember, to end the war against energy waste, you must fight the small battles in your tower. Will you be ready to battle your opposing tower on November 3rd?
