Students and staff at the Ithaca College James B. Pendleton Center in Los Angeles joined 30,000 others in the 22nd Los Angeles AIDS Walk on Sunday, Oct. 15.

Ithaca's team, The Stompers, and its sponsors helped the AIDS Walk set a new record of $3.7 million raised.


The event is a fundraiser for AIDS Project Los Angeles and other agencies around LA and is used to fund HIV/AIDS prevention programs, support groups, health care, camping opportunities, mental health services, and holistic wellness classes.

These programs and services reach tens of thousands of people throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

The Stompers included: Bridget Sheehan, Erin Melnick, Amanda Pendolino, Ben Cohen, Amy Carr, Jon Bassinger-Flores, Lonna Dawson, Erin Sager, and Angel Yau.
