This year the Share the Warmth committee is asking the community to place a special emphasis on BLANKETS. Tompkins County has set a goal of collecting 2,000 blankets and we are nowhere near the goal!

At the Samaritan Center distribution last year, all the blankets that collected were handed out within the first three hours of distribution. With winter heating costs on the rise, we know there is a greater need for blankets this season.

Many of you have spare blankets that you would not mind parting with. Please help the county reach its goal of 2,000 blankets!
