Windows Updates – Minor Change for College-owned Computers

If you use a college-owned Windows XP SP2 computer, you may notice a new icon in the System Tray starting the week of November 13th, 2006.

The software that is used for automatically providing Windows updates (i.e. security patches) is being upgraded and the System Tray icon will change from a globe to a gold shield. The icon will only be visible when Windows updates are available for your computer. The update process itself will not change.
