Marty Sternstein gives two talks on Math Across Cultures

Marty Sternstein delivered an invited talk October 31 at Lafayette College entitled “Math in Africa.” The talk was co-sponsored by the Department of Mathematics, the Department of History, Minority Scientists and Engineers, and Africans Creating African Consciousness and Interest Abroad.

He also gave a workshop November 4 on “Bringing Culture into the Mathematics Classroom” for the Third Annual Rochester City School District K-6 Math Conference.
