The United Way “The Power of One” campaign is at a very critical point. To date, over 300 staff and faculty have contributed $53,896, which is 87% of our $62,000 goal. This is truly remarkable given the many competing priorities people have on their resources.
If you have not taken the opportunity to give to date, please consider supporting the work of the United Way in our community by returning your pledge card today. It’s not too late to help us achieve our goal. If you have misplaced your pledge card and wish to give, don’t worry. Just give Karen McGavin a call (274-3118) and she will insure that you receive a new pledge card so you can participate.
Remember, every dollar helps to make a difference in someone’s life! Here are just a couple of examples:
•A $26 donation provides 5 days of meals on wheels for one person
•A $52 donation provides some food and clothing for a fire victim
•A $78 donation provides one night of shelter to a homeless person with food, personal hygiene products, linens, and case management.
Please help. You can do so by making a one-time contribution to the United Way, or choosing payroll deduction as a convenient way to assist members of our local community. It doesn’t take much to make a significant difference. Many thanks for caring so much!
