David Turkon (anthropology) presented a paper, "Some Aspects of the Political Ecology of HIV/AIDS in Lesotho: Problems with Defining Community in Health Interventions," at the 105th annual meetings of the American Anthropological Association (AAA)

David was also re-elected to the board of directors for the Association for Africanist Anthropologists, a sub-section of the AAA, and will continue to serve as their co-program chair.
