November is coming to a close so please be sure to send a thank you card to a colleague and redeem any coupons you may have received at the Employee Appreciation Reward Center located in the Office of Human Resources in Boardman Place. The Reward Center will be open until Friday, December 8th.

We’d like to thank everyone for taking time during this busy semester to express appreciation to our many special colleagues. Nearly 800 coupons have been redeemed by employees representing over 80 departments.

We have heard lots of great stories from employees who say how pleased they were to receive a note of thanks. This little boost of encouragement has made employees feel that their colleagues respect and value the work they do.

Here is one heartwarming story. Two men from the Office of Facilities stopped by the reward center at the end of their shift. One of the men had received two thank you notes. The other man had not received any. The man who had been recognized picked out two IC mugs, kept one mug for himself, and generously handed the other mug to his co-worker. This is one example of the outstanding character of the people who make up the Ithaca College community.

Remember, time is running out. If you have thank you cards please write a note to someone and give it to them. If you have coupons to redeem please do so in the next week.
