Judith Pena-Shaff (Psychology) published "An Inclusive Process for Departmental Textbook Selection" in the journal Teaching of Psychology.

The article, co-authored with William Altman and Kristen Ericksen, details a process of textbook selection that involves faculty and students. The article included an empirical component documenting student satisfaction with the process and, ultimately, with the textbooks that had been selected.

One of the unique features of their work is that they identified textbooks associated with different learning styles.

The journal in which the article appeared, Teaching of Psychology, is the premiere national journal for the teaching of psychology.
