IC Vocal Jazz Ensemble seeks two bass voices for the Spring semester.
Open auditions will be held on Wednesday, December 13 beginning at 10 AM. Sign up outside studio 3310 in Whalen. Auditions are available by appointment on Friday, December 15. Email lkeegan@ithaca.edu for more information or to schedule a Friday audition. No phone calls, please.
The Vocal Jazz Ensemble is open to all IC students regardless of major. Credit is either .5 (for most music majors) or 1.0 (for Jazz majors and non-music majors). Rehearsals are held on Mondays and Fridays from 6--8 PM.
Performances for the Spring include the Harlem Renaissance Open House at Dewitt Middle School (Thursday, March 22), performance with IC Tuesday/Thursday Jazz Workshop and special guest jazz vocalist Giacomo Gates (Friday, April 13), a tri-college vocal jazz festival with Syracuse University and LeMoyne College (Sunday, April 15) and our Spring Concert (Wednesday, April 23).
