Due to required work being done on the campus electrical substation it will be necessary to have a campus wide power shutdown on Wednesday January 10, 2007.
In preparation for this shutdown, Information Technology Services (ITS) will begin shutting down college information systems, e.g. Parnassus, Homer, WWW, email etc. at 9:00 pm January 10.
The power shutdown will begin at midnight and power is scheduled to be restored by 4 am Thursday January 11. The power shutdown will affect all campus buildings, residence halls and the Garden Apartments.
ITS will begin restoring college information systems at 6:00 am Thursday January 11. All business systems and file servers will be unavailable during the interim. ITS will make every effort to have systems restored to service in time for normal business operations. ITS recommends that you unplug your computers, printers and other electrical devices prior to the shutdown.
The Office of Facilities will have staff on duty during this shutdown to ensure all systems resume their normal functions.
