Ithaca College

Following up on my notice to the campus community on January 3 regarding the resignation of Peter Bardaglio, and after extensive consultation with many individuals, I have decided to conduct a Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs search this spring. We have engaged the firm of Academic Search to assist us. The president of the firm, Dr. Jamie Ferrare, will be our consultant. He is quite familiar with Ithaca College and with the work the firm has done for us in recent years.

Jamie plans to visit the College in early February to gather input for the search. I will be putting a search committee together that will be representative of the College community. Our timetable is to complete the search by the end of the spring semester, so that we have a new Provost/VPAA on board prior to the start of the next academic year.

I expect to have an announcement soon regarding interim plans for the office. In the meantime, I appreciate your continued support for those who are carrying on the important work of the academic affairs division as we begin the new semester.
