The Park School of Communications and Information Technology Services are kicking off a series of iLife workshops for students who purchased their MacBook Pro under the new Park laptop initiative.
These workshops will take place in Park 220 over the next few weeks. To participate, all you need to do is show up with your laptop. The workshops and times for next week are below.
Talk About iT – Communications:
Tuesday 1/30 from Noon-1 pm or Wednesday 1/31 from 7-8 pm
This workshop focuses on communicating through technology. We will go over how iChat is used and how useful the technology is when paired with iSight. When the two are combined, video iChat can create a dynamic chat atmosphere! We will also go over how to use Mac Mail, the email client that makes email easier to organize.
Picture iT – Photos:
Wednesday 1/31 from 8-9 pm or Thursday 2/1 from Noon-1 pm
In this workshop, you will learn how to use Photobooth to apply different effects to pictures that are taken through the webcam. You will use basic editing techniques to alter photos and learn how to create photo albums. Finally, you will create slideshows to proudly display all the pictures that you’ve acquired and enhanced through this training.
Seats are available on a first come first serve basis. Please make sure you bring your laptop running Mac OS 10.4
