In February the College will celebrate Black History Month with a series of events across the campus.
At some events we will be collecting donations to send to St. John's #5 Faith Church in the Seventh Ward of New Orleans. This church is headed by last week's guest speaker, pastor Bruce Davenport. Suggested donations will be posted to Intercom next week!

February 17 - Music School “Africa to America”
7:00PM – Ford Hall - a musical tribute in honor of 2007 Black History Month.
The program will feature elementary students from the Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Utica, New York, the Community School of the Arts, and the Community Unity Music Education Project Afterschool program. Also performing will be the Ithaca Multicultural Chorus “Voices”, Ghanaian master xylophonist Bernard Woma from Accra, Ghana, and civil rights pioneer Dr. Dorothy Cotton, who served as education director for the Southern Christian Leadership Conference for twelve years under the direct supervision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Working closely with Dr. King, Dorothy served on his executive staff and was part of his entourage to Oslo, Norway, where he received the Nobel Peace Prize.
